Remove Wifi Profile

Removes a wireless network from the device, so it stops connecting to that network and the stored network key is gone from the machine. The network is removed from every wireless adapter on the device.\n\nUse this to retire an old network after the replacement has been deployed, or to clean a guest network off devices that should be on the company network instead.\n\nA device that never had the network is the normal case when the same workflow runs across a whole fleet, so by default that counts as a success. Change Continue If Not Found when a missing network should end the job with an error instead.\n\nUse the Import Wifi Profile, Create Wifi Profile or Create Enterprise Wifi Profile bricks to put a network on a device.\n\nTip - dynamic values: a value typed here is applied unchanged to every device the workflow runs on. When different offices, models or hardware need different settings, add an Execute PowerShell Snippet brick earlier in the same workflow, let it work out the right value for the device it is running on, and use that value here instead of a fixed one. One workflow then covers every site, instead of one workflow per site. The same approach works with any brick.

Required

The name of the wireless network to remove. This is normally the same as the network name the users see when they pick a network. Example: Office-Guest\n\nThe name must match exactly, including upper and lower case as it was stored on the device. A name that does not match any network on the device is treated according to the Continue If Not Found setting.

Required — Default: True

Enable to report success when the network is not on the device. Keep this enabled for normal deployments, because a device that never had the network already meets the goal of not having it, and the same workflow usually runs on devices that were never configured for it. Disable when the network is expected to be there and its absence should end the job with an error, for example when the removal has to be confirmed on every device.

Required — Default: True

Enable to disconnect the device from the network before the network is removed. Keep this enabled, because removing the network the device is currently using otherwise leaves the connection running with nothing behind it until the device happens to drop it. Disable only when the device must stay on this network for the rest of the workflow, for example when the remaining bricks need the connection it provides.
