Remove Built In Windows Apps

Removes the built in Windows apps that ship with the operating system, such as Solitaire, Xbox, News and Weather, so a newly deployed machine only contains the apps your organisation wants.\n\nThe app can be removed from every existing user profile and it can be deprovisioned, so users who log on to the machine for the first time afterwards do not get it back.\n\nApps that Windows protects as system components, such as the Microsoft Store, the Settings app and the shell, are never removed. Apps that Windows refuses to remove are reported in the log and do not stop the workflow.

Required — Default: Solitaire Collection

Select one or more built in Windows apps to remove. The list contains the apps Microsoft ships with Windows that are safe to remove.\n\nYou can also type the package name of an app that is not in the list, for example Microsoft.BingNews. Use the plain package name without version and publisher information - the brick resolves the full package name for you.\n\nApps that are not installed on the machine are reported as not present and are not treated as an error. Allowed values: Clipchamp Video Editor, 3D Builder, Cortana, Finance, News, Web Search From Bing, Sports, Weather, Copilot, Xbox App, Get Help, Tips, Messaging, 3D Viewer, Journal, Microsoft 365 Hub, Solitaire Collection, Sticky Notes, Mixed Reality Portal, Paint 3D, Network Speed Test, OneNote For Windows, Mobile Plans, New Outlook For Windows, Paint, People, Power Automate Desktop, Print 3D, Snipping Tool, Skype, Microsoft To Do, Wallet, Dev Home, Photos, Alarms And Clock, Camera, Mail And Calendar, Feedback Hub, Maps, Notepad, Sound Recorder, Xbox Live In Game Experience, Xbox Console Companion, Xbox Game Overlay, Xbox Game Bar, Xbox Speech To Text Overlay, Phone Link, Windows Media Player, Movies And TV, Family Safety, Quick Assist, Microsoft Teams Personal, Microsoft Teams, Widgets.

Optional — Default: True

Enable to also remove the app from the Windows image on the machine, so users who log on for the first time afterwards do not get the app installed. Disable to leave the image untouched, which means the app comes back for every new user profile.

Optional — Default: True

Enable to report apps that could not be removed in the log and let the workflow continue. Disable to stop the workflow when at least one app could not be removed. Apps that Windows itself refuses to remove because they are system components are always reported without stopping the workflow.
