# Network Requirements

You manage and monitor PerformanceGuard through a web browser: PerformanceGuard operators connect to the PerformanceGuard web server through HTTP on a port number specified during the installation of the PerformanceGuard server.

The default ports for this purpose are TCP ports 80 and 81. Its is also possible to communicate via HTTPS.

In a default installation you must therefore as a minimum allow:

- Incoming connections to the PerformanceGuard frontend server on **TCP port 4001** from all computers with an agent installed
- Incoming connections to the PerformanceGuard web server on **TCP port 80 and 81** from administrative clients
