# Custom Time Periods on Graphs

> Set a custom start and end time on a graph when the predefined time periods are too limited.

When you view graphs, you may occasionally find that the [Manage Time Periods](/performanceguard/administration/more-setup/manage-time-periods/) are too limited. If so, you can manually adjust the interval:

1. Select the **Custom** check box.
2. Either enter the required start and end times directly in the fields

Click the calendar icon next to each field to select required start and end times.  
The blue dot ![](/attachments/performanceguard/cc63da65-7718-4d57-890a-73fdfc1a5ff5.png) in the calendar indicates the current date. The green dot ![](/attachments/performanceguard/85121bb7-7b97-4ccc-9eec-64139678c6cb.png) indicates the date that you have selected.  
To specify time in the calendar, click the calendar's ![](/attachments/performanceguard/5812e867-c546-4c33-a80f-5f5eedbcff25.png) icon.  
PerformanceGuard supports two different time and date formats, American and European.  
Depending on your locale settings, the date format is either:

- American (MM/DD/YYYY hh:mm:ss tt)
