# Missing Name or Version

## **Read before starting**

This issue can occur when using **Chromium-based browsers**.
If the uploaded installation file does not contain embedded **Name** or **Version** metadata, the **Save** button may remain disabled when creating a Custom App.

## Problem

When creating a **Custom App**, the **Save** button remains greyed out after uploading the installation file.

This typically occurs when using Chromium-based browsers such as **Google Chrome**, especially if the installation file does not include embedded application metadata.

## Solution

**Use Edge or Firefox**

1. Open [**https://dash.capaone.com**](https://dash.capaone.com/).
2. Go to **Applications**.

   1. Click on **Company Apps**.
3. Click **New → Custom App**.
4. Upload the installation file.
5. Make sure the Custom App includes:

   - **Name**
   - **Version**
6. Add at least one **Install Option**.
7. Click **Save**.
