# Apple Push Certificate Setup

> Create and upload the Apple Push Notification certificate that lets CapaOne communicate with Apple devices.

Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) is required for CapaOne MDM to communicate with Apple devices.

## Set up the Apple Push Certificate

1. Log in to CapaOne portal.
2. Navigate to CapaOne → Apple Setup → Push Certificate.
3. Click Download this Push Request and save the file.
4. Open Apple Push Certificates Portal (<https://identity.apple.com/pushcert>).
5. Sign in with your Apple ID.
6. Create a certificate, upload the Push Request file, and download the .pem file.
7. Upload the certificate into CapaOne.

Confirmation: Certificate status shows Active with expiration date.

Renew the certificate every 12 months using the **same Apple ID** and the same certificate: log in,
locate the certificate, and press **Renew** on it. Creating a new certificate instead will unenroll
your existing devices.
