# Manage Sign-in Methods

> Choose whether users in an organization can sign in to CapaOne with a CapaOne password, a Microsoft account, or a Google account.

Source: https://docs.capaone.com/capaone/account-administration/manage-sign-in-methods/
Product: CapaOne — a separate CapaSystems product; do not apply this page to any other.

Users can sign in to CapaOne in three ways: with a CapaOne username and password, with
**Sign in with Microsoft**, or with **Sign in with Google**. For each organization, you choose
which of these methods are allowed.

Signing in with Microsoft or Google lets users use the two-factor authentication of their
Microsoft or Google account. CapaSystems recommends it.

:::note[Before you start]
You need the **Manager** role. See [Roles and Product Access](/capaone/account-administration/roles-and-product-access/).
Microsoft and Google sign-in work when the user's Microsoft or Google account has the same email
address as their CapaOne account.
:::

## Change the allowed sign-in methods

1. Open **Users & Organization**. See
   [Accessing account administration inside CapaOne](/capaone/account-administration/accessing-account-administration-inside-capaone/).
2. Click **Edit** on the organization.
3. Select the **Security** tab.
4. Select or clear **Allow CapaOne login**, **Allow Microsoft login**, and **Allow Google login**.
   At least one method must stay selected.
5. Click **Save Changes**, and confirm the change in the **Confirm Login Security Changes** dialog.

## What users see

If a user tries a method that isn't allowed, sign-in fails with a message such as
"Incorrect username, password or login method not allowed".

:::caution
Before you turn off **Allow CapaOne login**, make sure every user can sign in with Microsoft or
Google with the same email address as their CapaOne account. Otherwise they can't sign in.
