# Connections

> The connections a Base Agent can hold: other Base Agents, a Distribution Server, and Front-end Services.

# Introduction

The Base Agent can have a lot of different connections such as other Base Agents (file shares and file stores), a Distribution Server and one or two Front-end Servers. They are all shown in the Connections tab.

The connections are each connection shown with information such as the FQDN, the service version, a timestamp of when the connection was made and the Operating System on that computer/server. In addition, Distribution Servers show the mode of which they are operating.

If there are two Front-end servers available, only the one that the Base Agent is connected to is shown as green while the other one is transparent.

By clicking on a peering BaseAgent (or Filestore or Distribution Server) you open up a new browser tab to the web interface of the service on stat computer.
