# Patch Management root points

> The root point at the top of the hierarchy, of which there can only be one in the system.

The root point is simply the top level in the hierarchy. A Root point is created using the file menu. There can only be one root point in the system. For a root point, there can be multiple child points.

Right-clicking on a patch management root point gives you the following options:
