# Use Import in OS Deployment

> Import OSD components from a portable zip file created on another installation.

# Introduction

OSD allows you to import components from a portable zip format, and allow you to transfer components to your from another installation.    
Components such as points, servers and PXE servers can not be imported.

| 1        | Click *File* menu and then Import...                                                                                                                                                      |

| 5        | Click Next and OSD will import your selected components.                                                                                                                                  |
