A Google Play Work app is an app from managed Google Play that you deploy to Android devices linked to an Android Enterprise. Google Play installs the app on the device and keeps it updated.

:::note[Before you start]
- CapaInstaller is linked to a CapaOne organization with an Android Enterprise contract.
- The devices are linked to your Android Enterprise.
- The apps are approved in the CapaOne MDM portal, under **Applications** at [mdm.capaone.com](https://mdm.capaone.com/applications). You can only deploy approved apps.
:::

You can create a Google Play Work app yourself, or import all approved apps from CapaOne in one step.

## Create a Google Play Work app

1. In **Configuration Management**, expand a root Configuration Management Point, and then expand **Applications and Packages**.
2. Right-click **Device Applications** and select **Create application**.
3. In the **Android** category, click **Google Play Work**. The payload is added to the Device Application.
4. Click **Search**. The **Lookup or search for Google Play Work App** dialog opens.
5. Enter a search text and click **Search**. The list shows the approved apps that match.
6. Select the app and click **OK**. **Name**, **Vendor**, **Application identifier**, **Google Play URL**, and **Icon** are filled in.
7. Enter an **Application name** and click **OK**.

The Device Application appears under **Device Applications**. Link it to devices, users, or groups to deploy the app.

## Import apps from CapaOne

1. In **Configuration Management**, expand a root Configuration Management Point, and then expand **Applications and Packages**.
2. Right-click **Device Applications** and select **Import from CapaOne...**.
3. Enter a **Change description** and click **OK**.

CapaInstaller creates a Device Application with a Google Play Work payload for each app that is approved in CapaOne.

:::note
**Import from CapaOne...** is only shown on the root Configuration Management Point, and only when the linked CapaOne organization has an Android Enterprise contract.
:::

## Configure the app

To send configuration keys and values to the app, add an AppConfig payload to the same Device Application. See [AppConfig Payload](/capainstaller/the-capainstaller-console/configuration-management/how-to-use-configuration-management/working-with-devices/device-applications/appconfig-payload/).
