# Get OS installation types

## Description

Gets OS Installation Types.

## Syntax

GetOSInstallationTypes(Byval OSPointID as Integer) as ArrayList

## Parameters

***OSPointID (Integer)***

OS Point ID

## Return value

The function returns an array of OS installation types. Each element in the array is a joined line with the character defined with [Set splitter](/capainstaller/sdk-capainstaller-software-development-kit-functions/container-functions/set-splitter/).

- InstallType.ID
- InstallType.GUID
- InstallType.Type

## Example

**VBScript**

Set oCMS = CreateObject("CapaInstaller.SDK") 
Set aUnit = CreateObject("System.Collections.ArrayList") 
Set aUnit =  oCMS.GetOSInstallationTypes("1") 
for each item in aUnit
