# Software Requirements

This document describes software requirements

To install CapaInstaller, you have to be aware of the different requirements for the individual components.

## Prerequisites

**CapaInstaller Agents**

- Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1
- Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6
- Microsoft .NET Desktop Runtime 8.xx (Are automaticly installed if using CapaOne Agent)
- Microsoft Powershell 5.1 (Remember to upgrade Windows 7 Clients before Upgrade/deploying)

****Setup Wizard,** CapaInstaller Console, CapaInstaller SDK, and the Package Creator**

- Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6

## Minimum Requirements

To install and configure CapaInstaller services a Microsoft Windows Server operating system is required. Both desktop and mobile platforms are supported as managed clients, please refer to the lists below.

- **Be aware of the additional notes related to the components in the list!**

- **CapaInstaller Security model requires Active Directory.**
- **CapaInstaller is not supported on file systems that are case-sensitive.**
