# Managing macOS devices

### Managing macOS

In CapaInstaller **macOS** is managed just like **iOS** and other devices through [Getting started with Device Management](/capainstaller/installation-and-maintenance/getting-started-with-device-management/).

- Management is relying on the built-in macOS device management features and requires no native agent install to install.
- Resetting a macOS computer is handled by triggering the built-in macOS Recovery disk feature and requires no OS images or deployment.

**A macOS computer can be manually enrolled** by opening up a browser and following the below steps

- Click on, paste in, or type the supplied **enrollment URL** in a web browser on the device targeted for enrollment.
- Authenticate
- **Accept terms** and enroll
- When prompted **Install** the Device Enrollment profile and follow the profile installation on-screen
- **Click** Done and the device is enrolled

**Automatic Device enrollment** is supported via the Apple DEP program
