# CapaWinUpgrade - Control Groups

> Link endpoints to a control group to set the Windows version they are upgraded to.

### Control Groups

Control groups are used to specify the target version for Windows in-place upgrades.

Link the endpoint or endpoints that you intend to upgrade, to the control group corresponding to the desired target version.

💡 The control groups are automatically created by the Cloud Updater package, during the download of the corresponding Windows versions.
