# **Introduction**

The following is a description of the Utilization index in CapaInstaller.  
    
The utilization index is defined and used in CapaInstaller as an indicator of how well a computer is performing at a given moment. The utilization index is calculated based on the usage of CPU, memory, and the hard drive. In every recording of these three values in percent between 0 and 100, the highest value will be translated into the utilization index.
