# Introduction

The following is a description of the Performance Guard Agent and how it is deployed from CapaInstaller.  
    
 The Performance Guard Agent is responsible for collecting all the performance data and startup/logon times on the computers it is deployed to. Deploying it to computers is done by assigning the package "Performance Guard v4.1", either directly to computers or to groups containing computers.
